No. We apply at low pressure, which is what asphalt shingle manufacturers recommend. Pressure washing and scrubbing are what strip granules and shorten roof life.

We control overspray, wet down nearby plants before we start, and neutralize and rinse anything that gets contact. Keep pets indoors during the visit and for a few hours after.
